Nottingham es una ciudad del Reino Unido y capital de la provincia (condado) de Nottinghamshire, en la región de East Midlands de Inglaterra.
El Censo de población del año 2001 establece el número total de habitantes de la capital en 270.300, con 613.723 en el área metropolitana.
Nottingham es famosa por la leyenda de Robin Hood, que apareció por primera vez durante la Edad Media. Se supone que Robin Hood vivió en el Bosque de Sherwood, al norte de la ciudad, siendo el Sheriff de Nottingham su gran enemigo. Aún cuando lo más probable es que se trate de simplemente una leyenda en gran medida, la figura del encapuchado ha sido explotada sabiamente por el ayuntamiento y comerciantes locales para atraer turismo.
