Saanen (en francés Gesseney), es una comuna suiza del cantón de Berna, situada en el distrito de Saanen. Limita al norte con las comunas de Charmey (cantón de Friburgo|FR) y Jaun (cantón de Friburgo|FR), al este con Boltigen, Zweisimmen, Sankt Stephan y Lenk im Simmental, al sur con Lauenen y Gsteig bei Gstaad, y al oeste con Château d'Œx (cantón de Vaud|VD) y Rougemont (cantón de Vaud|VD).

Hacen parte de la comuna las localidades de Abländschen, Bissen, Ebnit, Gruben, Grund, Gstaad, Kalberhöni, Saanen, Saanenmöser, Schönried y Turbach.
